Development from lab requirements.

Thom-Med was founded by Andreas Thomsen and focuses on hydrogel-based tools for cell and tissue culture. The Aga Cup solves one concrete task: immobilize the tissue sample on the dish floor, hold medium in the inner well and enable supply by diffusion.

The company operates as a sole proprietorship and is based in Kenzingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Application, Aga Cup requests and technical documentation are coordinated per project.

The Aga Cup combines a tissue-facing hydrogel base, an inner well for culture medium and three stabilizing wings. The carrier should do no more than the workflow needs.

Controlled immobilization before culture starts.

In conventional petri-dish culture, tissue samples can drift in medium. The Aga Cup is placed over the tissue sample, immobilizes it on the dish floor and lets medium diffuse through the hydrogel to the tissue sample.
